Richard Hartley and Sara Haggas from Skipton-based fitted furniture company Hartleys collected a coveted Twitter award at Birmingham’s ICC.

Heading up the day was TV Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis, providing an impressive entrepreneurial networking opportunity celebrating the success of his ‘Small Business Sunday’ winners.

Marketing manager Sara Haggas originally tweeted Theo about her business during a weekly Twitter initiative set up by Theo. Theo re‐tweeted Sara’s message to his 400,000 followers and Hartleys now joins other selected businesses profiled on his website (www.theopaphitissbs.com), coverage which is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Richard and Sara enjoyed the opportunity to meet with the inspirational celebrity businessman as part of a busy day’s itinerary at the event including Meet the Buyers session, A Question Time panel, lunch and networking.

Sara said “The buzz on the day was incredible and it was a fantastic opportunity to meet up with a wide range of other businesses. Theo’s support for small business is outstanding and listening to the inspirational stories of the expert panel was truly uplifting. We left Birmingham with renewed vigour and a definite spring in our step!”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to post their profile and other content on the new website, enjoy maximum coverage for their business, as well as opportunities to attend workshops and networking events throughout the year.
