FORMER nurse Penny Bird has opened a lingerie shop in Cross Hills.
Penny, a nurse for 22 years, wanted to stock affordable items for everyone - and to cater for larger ladies, after struggling herself to find bras to fit.
Urban Fox, in the Co-op Car Park, off Main Street, opened about a month ago, and business has been brisk, she said.
"It's a completely new venture for me," said Penny.
"I'm trying to make lingerie affordable to the modern woman. Not everyone has £100 to blow on a bra, so most of my sets retail out at about £30 to £70.
"I also try to stock larger sizes as I have always struggled myself."
Penny stocks all the major High Street brands, and, offers a free measuring service, and welcomes men looking for a special present for wives, partners or girlfriends.
"I pride myself on my friendly little shop which I hope people feel they can just come and browse around, with no pressure," she said.
