If you are thinking of making volunteering one of your New Year’s resolutions, Guide Dogs in Skipton would love to hear from you. The branch is keen to recruit more volunteers and, in particular, a trading secretary who would be responsible for the administration of branch activities and for keeping everyone up to date. Volunteer development coordinator Ruth Wood said: “All that is required is an ability to issue clear, written communications to the branch members and supporters. Guide Dogs receives no government funding and by offering your time you will be helping to make a difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people, enabling them to enjoy the same mobility and independent quality of life as everyone else.” For more information, email ruth.Wood@guidedogs.org.uk or 0118 983 5555.
