GISBURN Auction Marts hosted its annual pair of prime hoggs show.
Taking both the first and second prize rosettes was regular quality prime hogg producer Robert Lambert, of Wigglesworth.
Weighing 43kgs, the first prize Beltex hoggs were quickly knocked down at £144 to the pre-sale show judge Luke Swales on behalf of Knavesmire Butcher, York who went on to purchase Mr Lambert’s second prize hoggs, weighing 44kgs, at £132.
Last year’s winner, another Craven sheep farmer John Mellin, of Long Preston, picked up the third prize rosette with his Beltex hoggs weighing 43kgs, which sold for £131.
