Put the lazy days of summer to good use and plan your entries for the Settle Stories competitions.
The actual festival doesn’t take place until October, but competition entries need to be submitted well in advance.
The first competition is for stories on a postcard. The card should be no more than six inches by four inches and the stories will be featured in a display during the festival. The favourite 30 stories will be published in book format.
The closing date is September 15.
Alternatively you can upload a story on the website, settlestories.org.uk, with the winner receiving a £50 Amazon voucher.
The stories can be on any topic, should last no more than 10 minutes and should be uploaded by September 25.
