A band that is gaining a reputation as one of the most entertaining folk acts of today is heading for Settle.
The Hut People will perform at the Victoria Hall next Friday, August 16, taking the audience on a voyage across the globe.
They will perform a unique blend of home-grown tunes mixed with British, Nordic and European folk music – embellished with driving accordion and exotic percussion.
Accordionist Sam Pirt – who also performs with Radio Two folk winners 422 – and percussionist Gary Hammond both have extensive backgrounds in music, having performed alongside The Beautiful South, Nina Simone and The Dubliners. The duo recently performed at Glastonbury.
The Settle gig will start at 8pm and tickets are available from 01729 825718 or settlevictoriahall.org.uk
