Best-selling author Gervase Phinn will perform live at Skipton’s Mart Theatre on Friday, as part of Rural Arts touring scheme, On Tour.
The scheme has worked with performers, companies and more than 300 volunteer promoters across the region to help bring professional shows to local venues.
One of Britain’s most popular writers and a natural storyteller, Mr Phinn combines the timing of the professional comedian with palpable warmth and the ability to deliver a message that is more than just a series of jokes.
Despite having charmed audiences nationwide with his experiences of being a school inspector on programmes such as ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, this is Mr Phinn’s first ever rural tour.
All profits made from ticket sales will support Rural Arts charitable aims and the Mart Theatre’s fundraising.
