Pendle Artists will travel over the border this weekend to exhibit at Skipton Castle.
“We hope the citizens of Skipton will enjoy viewing our work,” said Pendle Artists secretary Susan Byrne. “It is of many different subjects, styles and media.”
Pendle Artists was formed in 1968 by a group of students attending classes at Burnley Municipal College.
Its aim is to encourage appreciation of the visual arts and to promote exhibitions of the highest possible standard. It holds two main shows a year, in spring and autumn, when exhibitions travel round to a number of different venues.
“The media includes watercolour, oils, pastel, ink and pencil, mixed media, prints, felt and clay,” added Susan.
The display will include framed and unframed pictures, along with ceramics.
The group, which is an open society with no residential boundaries, also has exhibitions booked at the Ace Centre, Nelson, from March 22 to May 5, Samlesbury in July and August, Pendle Heritage Centre from October 20 to November 2 and Alston Hall from November 2 to November 29.
