SKIPTON: The heroic adventures of the infamous Mr Toad of Toad Hall will be brought to the Little Theatre stage next week.

Skipton Players will perform a modern adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows.

It will be performed from Tuesday to Saturday, with five evening performances at 7.30pm and a matinee performance at 2.30pm next Saturday.

lSettle Orchestra will be in action at Christ Church on Saturday.

It will play a programme of French music under the baton of new conductor Leo Geyer.

And mezzo-soprano Rachel Maby will perform songs by Poulenc and Ravel.

lVeteran British singer Kiki Dee and musical partner Carmelo Luggeri will return to the Mart Theatre tomorrow.

Kiki and Carmelo have been touring together for two decades and played at a sellout concert at the Mart last year.

lMill Bridge Gallery is staging an exhibition to highlight the work of the Craven RSPCA.

Other Animals features photography and sculpture and invites the visitor to consider the diversity and beauty of the other species.

SETTLE: Martyn Joseph - dubbed the Welsh Springsteen - will perform at Victoria Hall tomorrow.

His songs are pictures, stories and feelings that have been put to music.

New theatre group Take 2 will stage its first pantomime, The Witch that Nicked Christmas, in Victoria Hall from Wednesday to Friday.

Written by singer, songwriter and broadcaster Mike Harding, it follows the hilarious quest of two young children who want to reclaim Christmas from the evil witch Mabel Shuffelwick.

It is directed by 16-year-old Bretten Lord, who starred in the film, Lad: A Yorkshire Story.

lPopular Fellside Recording artist Bram Taylor will entertain at Poppies Tearoom on Saturday.

He will perform a selection of both traditional and contemporary material on guitar, duet concertina and baritone ukulele.

The gig starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £7.

lThere are just two days left to view the Gallery on the Green’s current exhibition, showcasing the work of local photographers Tony and Carol Dilger.

Out of Africa and into The Dales features wildlife pictures, shot during safaris in South Africa and nearer to home, in the Dales.

The exhibition will run until Saturday.

lLinton Court Gallery has unveiled its new winter exhibition, A Moveable Feast, featuring paintings, drawings, original prints, sculptures and ceramics.

BARNOLDSWICK: Barnoldswick Gilbert and Sullivan Society will be back in action over the next few days.

They will perform a Pleasure to Sing in the Civic Hall tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm.

The concert will include excerpts from Gilbert and Sullivan operattas, as well as musicals Carousel, Oklahoma, Mr Fair Lady and Spamalot.

This is an animated film about a little girl who sees a star falling from the sky. Admission is free and children under 16 should be accompanied.

CARLETON: Carleton Cinema will screen the film, The Butler, in the village hall on Sunday.

It stars Forest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, an African-American who eyewitnesses notable events of the 20th century during his 34-year tenure serving as a White House butler.

The film starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £4 each.

COWLING: St Andrew’s Church will hold a musical rendezvous on Saturday to celebrate its 49th anniversary.

This year’s entertainment will include soloists, an accordion player, pianist, comic anecdotes and a sing-along.

The event will run from noon to 3pm.

CROSS HILLS: Rock ‘n’ roll band Blue Suede Dudes will perform at Cross Hills Working Men’s Club on Saturday.

GLUSBURN: The classic film, White Christmas, will be staged at the institute next Friday, December 5, at 7pm.

Admission is £5 for adults and £3.50 for concessions, on the door.

GRASSINGTON: Grassington Players will present an evening of entertainment in the town hall on Saturday to coincide with the Dickensian Festival. Tickets are available from The Hub on 752222.

HELLIFIELD: A Christmas concert will be staged in Hellifield Institute next Friday, December 5, at 7.30pm.

It will feature singing duo Ian Grey and Jane Jones, who will perform seasonal music for all ages.

KETTLEWELL: Saving Mr Banks will be the featured film at the next Kettlewell film night.

Starring Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson and Colin Farrell, it tells the extraordinary true story of how Mary Poppins took flight.

It will be screened at Kettlewell Village Hall on Saturday at 7.30pm.
