SKIPTON: Mill Bridge is staging an exhibition to highlight the work of the Craven RSPCA.

The exhibition, Other Animals, features photography and sculpture and invites the visitor to consider the diversity and beauty of the other species who inhabit our world.

Tickets are on sale for a prize draw - to win Champagne Bird, a painting by Beverley Drury - which will be made when the exhibition ends next Saturday, December 20.

lSkipton Folk Unplugged will hold a party night with Sam Bishop on Monday.

It will take place at the Narrow Boat pub, on Victoria Street, at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

SETTLE: The Three Kings have returned to Settle.

And they are happily ensconced at the town’s Gallery on the Green, housed in a former phone box.

The tableau - first seen in 2011 and created by Settle Flagmakers - has been brought back by popular demand.

It will remain in place until January 17.

lThe Settle Stories team is holding a drop-in session at its offices in the town hall on Wednesday from 2pm to 5pm.

It wants people to share their festival highlights and reveal their future plans. Mince pies and punch will be available.

lCantores Salicium will take part in the nine lessons and carols service at Settle Parish Church on Sunday, at 6.30pm.

lLinton Court Gallery is staging a winter exhibition, A Moveable Feast, featuring paintings, drawings, original prints, sculptures and ceramics.

It will run until next Saturday, December 20.

lSettle Music will hold one of its popular guitar sessions tomorrow.

It will take place at Settle Primary School from 7pm to 9pm and the cost is £5.

ADDINGHAM: There will be musical entertainment at the Civic Society’s Christmas Party in the Memorial Hall today.

Singer Shirley Britton, Joze’s Delectable Dancers, the Mystery and Magic of Stevie B, vocals with Bradley Johnson and Michael Loftus, and ‘Captain of Croon’ Jack Robinson are on the bill.

AUSTWICK: Austwick Parish Hall will show the film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The comedy stars Ralph Fiennes as a concierge who teams up with one of his employees to prove his innocence after he is framed for murder.

Admission is £5, BARNOLDSWICK: Ribcaged Productions will re-visit the famous writings of Charles Dickens at the Rainhall Centre on Tuesday.

It will perform A Dickensian Christmas, which will include A Christmas Carol as well as scenes from Nicholas Nickleby, The Old Curiosity Shop, Great Expectations. There will also be some new pieces.

CONONLEY: Cononley Singers will lead a service of music and readings at St John’s Church on Sunday at 2.30pm. Everyone is welcome and no tickets are required.

EMBSAY: The film, Guys and Dolls, will be screened in the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

Starring Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, Jean Simmons, Vivian Blaine and Stubby Kaye, it is one of the best examples of the musicals coming out of America in the 1950s.

Admission is £4, which includes mulled wine and biscuits.

GARGRAVE: Gargrave and Malhamdale Community Library will show the classic film, White Christmas, in the village hall next Friday, December 19.

The doors open at 7pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm. Admission is £5 on the door.

GIGGLESWICK: The Richard Whiteley Theatre will screen a new production of Arthur Miller’s classic American drama, The Crucible.

Based on Salem’s infamous witch trials, the show is being staged at the Old Vic and will be screened via Cinema Live on Sunday at 2.30pm.

GRASSINGTON: Grassington Players will present an evening of entertainment in the town hall next Thursday, December 18.

HELLIFIELD: Hellifield Station Tearooms - on the Settle-Carlisle Line - will host a Music and Carols Festival tomorrow from 7pm.

And leading the singing will be community choir Settle Voices.

Admission is £5, which includes a complementary glass of mulled wine on arrival, and all profits will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

LOTHERSDALE: The final monthly informal folk music session of 2014 takes place at the Hare and Hounds on Wednesday, starting at 8:30pm. All musicians and singers welcome, or just come along to listen and enjoy.

RIBBLEHEAD: Settle Voices and Settle-Carlisle Singers will perform a selection of folk carols at Ribblehead Station on Saturday at 1.45pm and 2.30pm.

SUTTON-IN-CRAVEN: The Green Hut Theatre Company is staging the popular pantomime, Dick Whittington, in the village hall.

Playing the title role is former South Craven School student Emma-Jayne Waters, while Kelly Smith takes on the role of principal girl for the first time, playing the Alderman’s daughter Alice.

They team up to foil the evil king rat Balthazar’s plot to take over London with his army of vermin.

The show runs until Saturday, with curtains up at 7.15pm. There is also a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.
