SKIPTON Music will present a concert by Trio con Brio who will perform at 7.30pm on Tuesday in Skipton Town Hall.
The trio from Copenhagen, Denmark, features Soo-Jin Hong on violin, Soo-Kyung Hong on cello and Jens Elvekjaer on piano.
Founded in Vienna in 1999, Trio Con Brio has been hailed by press and audiences for its “unique sound and unity of interpretation”.
Since its inception it has won most of the international competitions for piano trio.
Trio Con Brio plays a central role in Scandinavia’s contemporary music scene, and several of Denmark’s most prominent composers, as well as Swedish composer Sven David Sandström, have composed for and dedicated works to the trio.
The programme for Tuesday's performance in Skipton Town Hall will feature Sandström's Four Pieces (2012), Beethoven's Trio Op. 70, No.1 Ghost and Schubert's Trio in B flat major, D898.
