SKIPTON:

Pictures by award-winning Colombian photographer Juan Sebastián Pinilla will make their UK debut in Skipton.

His work will be included in an exhibition at the Mill Bridge Gallery, called America, North to South.

Pinilla’s varied images reflect life in South America and include a particularly striking photograph of Rio’s Christ the Redeemer statue at sunset (right).

* Skipton Players are staging the farce Perfect Wedding, by Robin Hawdon, from Tuesday to Saturday.

* A double dose of laughter is on offer at the Mart Theatre tomorrow (Friday) when comedians Josh Widdicombe and Seann Walsh take to the stage.

Next on stage will be The Mersey Makers, who will pay tribute to the 1960s with songs from bands such as The Beatles, The Searchers, Gerry and the Pacemakers and The Hollies next Saturday, February 24.

* Ermysted’s Big Band will perform in the school hall next Friday, February 24, to raise money for the Craven and Upper Wharfedale branch of the RSPCA. The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets, costing £5, can be reserved by ringing (01756) 792186.

* Singer Ray Hearne makes his first visit to Skipton Folk Unplugged on Monday. The club meets at the Narrow Boat at 8.30pm.

* Craven Museum and Gallery is hosting Contemporary Ceramics: A Personal Collection, which features 20th century studio ceramics loaned by a private collector.

There is also a subsidiary exhibition of work by three Yorkshire ceramicists – David Roberts, Jim Robison and Cross Hills-based Anna Lambert.

SETTLE:

Blues singer Connie Lush and Blues Shouter perform at the Victoria Hall tomorrow (Friday).

Addingham Pantomime Group is staging Robinson Crusoe at the Memorial Hall, with shows today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm and on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm.

BENTHAM:

GIGGLESWICK:

A children’s show investigating luck and superstition comes to Giggleswick this weekend.

Lawrence Speck uses storytelling, clowning, puppetry and object manipulation to investigate local folklore in Once Upon A Time Up the Road. The show is suitable for anyone aged seven and over and will be staged at the Richard Whiteley Theatre on Sunday at 2.30pm. GLUSBURN:
