Skipton-based alternative band Finding Violet is asking for artistic help with its debut EP, which is due for digital release in early March.

The group wants someone to design an original cover for its EP, Life for Less.

Gavin Loughlin, the band’s guitarist, said: “We’ve had a go at designing a cover ourselves, but to be honest our art skills just aren’t up to scratch. “We’re asking anyone who might be interested in designing a CD cover to think about the title or listen to the EP’s title track, Life for Less, which is available to stream on our website findingviolet.com, see if they can draw some inspiration from it and submit their design or idea.”

Entries can be submitted at info@findingviolet. com and the band will choose its favourite at the beginning of March.

The winner will receive a credit on the EP’s cover, a signed copy of the band’s EP and two tickets to the band’s gig at the Cockpit in Leeds in April.

Other members of Finding Violet are John Wilson (vocals), Thomas Dunn (drums and backing vocals) and Martin Hopkins (bass).
