LOTHERSDALE Village Hall will be the venue for a popular local production which explores the lives of people in a typical Northern pub in a working class town.

Falling Stars Theatre Company will stage the dramatic comedy Two at 7.30pm this Saturday.

Two, written by Jim Cartwright and directed by Guiseley School drama teacher Rebecca Durham, tells the story of a bickering husband and wife and the dozen regulars who pass through their pub in an evening.

When a little boy is left behind by his father, a fragile reconciliation occurs as their own dark tragedy is revealed.

The play was originally created for Fallfest 2017 at Glusburn Institute Community and Arts Centre.

The production has proved to be very popular with local residents.

Rebecca said: “We have recently performed our production of Two at Skipton Little Theatre and unfortunately I had to turn a lot of people away as the venue only seated 70 people and we were inundated with calls.

“We have been asked to perform the play again at Lothersdale Village Hall to raise money for Lothersdale Primary School.”

Falling Stars Theatre Company was formed three years ago to create innovative, immersive and exciting theatre for Glusburn’s Fallfest.

Rebecca added: “We will be in rehearsals shortly for the next Falling Stars production for Fallfest 2018.”

Tickets for the show in Lothersdale Village Hall on Saturday cost £10, which includes a supper.

Anyone attending should also bring their own drinks.

Tickets can be reserved by ringing Rebecca on 07816 269690.
