SKIPTON Music will present a concert by the Pelléas Ensemble at 7.30pm on Tuesday in Skipton Town Hall.

The award-winning ensemble, which features Henry Roberts on flute, Luba Tunnicliffe on viola and Oliver Wass on harp, was formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, in 2011.

The programme will include Dubois’ Terzettino, Leclair’s Trio Sonata in D Op.8, No.2, Dubussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, Tchaikovsky’s Chanson Triste and Mélodie, Telemann’s Fantasy for Solo Flute, Bejamin Graves’ Scherzo for Flute, Viola and Harp and Ravel’s (arr. Morlock) Selections from Tombeau de Couperin.

The ensemble recently won the Elias Fawcett Award for Outstanding Chamber Ensemble at the Royal Overseas League Chamber Music Competition, and the Grand Prize and Audience Prize in the 2016 St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition. They also won the British Harp Chamber Music Competition in 2015.

The ensemble was due to be the final concert of Skipton Music’s 2017/18 season.

However, after the cancellation of Kathryn Stott’s concert in February, a new date has now been re-arranged to 7:30pm on Tuesday, June 19, in Skipton Town Hall.

Tickets will be available from April 15.
