SIR - One thing that unites people from all backgrounds is food. And television programmes, such as Masterchef show there is a great interest in cooking as a way, not just of feeding other selves, but of expressing individual creativity.
The proposed move of the food market to the old M&S building on Darley Street, in Bradford, presents a great opportunity to the city - not just to sell food from across the world, but to demonstrate how it is cooked.
This would increase marketing opportunities for the traders and bring people together as they learn new recipes and how food is prepared and cooked in other parts of the world.
Funding projects like this is always the challenge. But there will be council officers who will know of sources of money, particularly if the outcome is in the better mixing of people from across the district.
