Volunteers have celebrated a successful year of running their own village library.
Members of the community got together at the Old School Room, Main Street, to celebrate the first anniversary of Addingham Community Library.
Those involved in the scheme were presented with a certificate by Bradford Council officer Mandy Webb, who has been working with the volunteers.
Villagers stepped in to save the library after it was earmarked for closure by Bradford Council last year.
Chairman of the Addingham Community Library charity, ward councillor Adrian Naylor, said: “It’s moved on light years from where we started.”
The library may soon be able to link into Bradford Council’s Talis computer systems. An architect’s report has also been received on possible improvements to the building which is owned by Addingham Parish Council.
