Women’s Institute: On Thursday, members and friends worked with Elizabeth Sharrock, who produces handmade books. Three members enjoyed a Food and Flowers event at Skipton. The next meeting will be next Thursday, December 13, when Jill, from Catkins, will entertain with Christmas flower arrangements. Non- members are welcome.
Austwick Church: This Sunday, the Christingle service will be held at 9.30am. Next Friday, December 14, there will be carols, mince pies and mulled wine at Austwick Hall from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Tickets are available from the vicar or social committee members. The vicar, the Rev Ian Greenhalgh, will lead a parish walk on Saturday, December 15, which starts outside the church at 9am.
Playing field: Due to a poor turnout at the annual general meeting of the Playing Field Committee, an extraordinary meeting will be held on Monday, December 17, at 8pm in the parish hall. Anyone interested in being involved is asked to attend.
