Presbyterian church: The Barnoldswick Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, on Kelbrook Road, will be inducting a new minister next Friday, December 14. The induction of the Rev KM Watkins will take place at the Independent Methodist Church, on Walmsgate, at 7pm. The preacher will be the Rev J MacLeod, of London, and addresses will be given by the Rev R MacLeod, of Glasgow, and Rev J Goldby, of Larne, Northern Ireland.
History society: Members attending the Barnoldswick History Society meeting on Thursday were delighted at the presentation given by the Pearly King and Queen of Lancashire, David and Jill Atkinson.
