St John's Church: On Saturday, St John’s Church will hold a coffee morning at Cononley Village Institute from 10am until noon. There will be all the usual stalls and refreshments, including bacon sandwiches. Proceeds will go towards the new church boiler, which is being installed. On Sunday, a service of Holy Communion at 11am will be led by the Rev John Peet. On Monday, the Toddlers Praise Christmas Special in Church takes place from 2pm until 3.15pm. It is open to all parents and grandparents. Next Sunday, December 16, O Come All Ye Faithful will feature words and music for Christmas with the Cononley Singers at 2.30pm, followed by tea and mince pies. A retiring collection will be divided between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the St John’s Church boiler appeal.
Drop-in session: The next drop-in session at the village institute is on Wednesday, from 2pm to 3.30pm. It will include a demonstration of how to wrap awkward-shaped presents as well as ideas for Christmas decorations and cards.
