Methodist Guild: The Methodist Guild will meet today (Thursday) at 2pm in the chapel. The speaker will be the Rev Bob Hilton, who will talk about All Saints Day.
Christmas fair: St Mary’s Church will be holding a Christmas fair in the village hall on Saturday, from 11am to 2pm. There will be stalls, crafts and games for all ages and the kitchen will be serving hot drinks, soup and mince pies. Entry is free.
Embsay churches: On Sunday, the Methodist Church service at 10.30am will be led by the Rev Janet Clasper, while at St Mary’s church there will be a service of Parish Communion at 9.30am.
Women’s Institute: The WI will hold its Christmas party in the village hall on Tuesday at 7pm.
Community library: The library had a successful coffee morning on Saturday. Seven new members were enrolled.
Steam railway: Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway is running two Santa Specials on Tuesday. For more details and to book, contact the railway on (01756) 710614.
