Ingleton was transformed into a “pantoland” as fundraisers and traders joined forces in aid of the NSPCC.
Village shopkeepers and members of the local NSPCC committee “raided” the costume department of the town’s pantomime group to dress up as a variety of colourful characters.
There was a Santa’s Grotto, Mr Bubbles the entertainer, pony rides, mulled wine, a dancing display, a lantern-led procession and performances from Settle Brass Band and the salsa band from Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale.
Now villagers can look forward to the 2013 pantomime production, Alice in Wonderland, which will run from February 27 to March 2.
