Dog action group to feature in TV documentary
4:26pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in News
An action group which is battling against dog fouling is to feature on a television documentary next week.
Glusburn Dog Fouling Focus Group’s campaigning work will be highlighted on Litter Wars, which is due to be screened on BBC 1 at 10.35pm on Tuesday.
The group is also one of two organisations in Craven - the other is Skipton Greatwood and Horse Close estate committee - chosen to pilot a Green Dog Walkers scheme.
It calls on dog owners to “take the pledge” and promise to clean up after their animals.
Dog owners wear green armbands and their dogs a green collar, and they also carry extra bags to give out as a "friendly" reminder not to foul the countryside.
