Grassington and Skipton will be in the spotlight next week for the summer round of judging for Yorkshire in Bloom.
Grassington will be first under the judges’ scrutiny next Friday, July 12, followed by Skipton.
In Skipton, where the judges are expected to arrive at around 11am, the town will be judged on four categories – the town itself, Craven College Horticul-tural unit, Stepping Stones II project and Holy Trinity Church.
Members of Skipton in Bloom plan to show off the floral displays in the bus station, in the Canal Basin, Mill Bridge area, the Cenotaph and the Diamond Jubilee Community Gardens.
“If everyone could make sure their corner of Skipton is looking neat and tidy, Skipton in Bloom would be most grateful,” said vice chairman, Sue Warburton.
