An inter-primary school chess tournament proved to be a big hit.
The event was organised by Ermysted’s Grammar School, Skipton, and featured 21 children from six primary schools in the Skipton area.
The children also received coaching from students of the grammar school.
“It was hugely successful and will probably be repeated in the future,” said Ermysted’s teacher William Nabarro.
The event was won by Greatwood School’s Finlay Birkinshaw.
