Kettlewell’s famous scarecrow festival kicks off on Saturday. This year’s themes are signs of the zodiac for adults and children’s books for youngsters.
Visitors will be able to follow a trail, solving riddles along the way, and there will be prizes to be won each day. Proceeds will be divided between the local church, village hall, school and local projects to benefit the whole community. The festival will run until next Sunday, August 18.
