The junior pupils at Boyle and Petyt School, Beamsley, adopted a woodland theme for their end-of-term play.
Following trips to Hackfall Woods near Ripon, Strid Woods at Bolton Abbey and Skipton Castle, they decided to stage a musical production of Robin Hood.
The traditional story was told through catchy songs and rhyme to a packed audience.
“Every child in the juniors had a part to play and did so with enjoyment and enthusiasm,” said headteacher Imogen Addy.
“Putting on a performance such as this develops many skills in children and not just musical ones – confidence, memory, team building and speaking and listening are skills transferable to all walks of life and so an end of term production is a valuable learning experience as well as great fun.”
