Coffee morning: A coffee morning to raise funds for a group of Craven College students going on a conservation research expedition to Indonesia is to take place next Saturday, August 17, at The OAP Centre, Keighley Road, from 9am to noon. There will be a variety of stalls, including cakes and a tombola, with free admission.
Village Centre: On Monday, August 19, there will be an open afternoon in the Village Centre to celebrate the completion of the work and alterations to the rooms. Free refreshments will be available. Grants have been received from Craven District Council (£500) and the Craven Trust (£500), which have enabled the replacement of windows and the carpet. The Rotary Club has also given a grant of £375 for a new cooker. The next outing will be next Thursday, August 15, to Oswaldtwistle Mill and Barton Grange, leaving the Village Centre at 10am.
