Little Rascals: Little Rascals Playgroup meets at the New Road Community Centre every Thursday, from 10.30am until noon, during the school holidays and caters for youngsters from birth to nine years. There is no charge for children, but there is a charge of £1.50 per adult, which includes light refreshments. Next Thursday, August 15, there is Dotty Potter pottery painting and on Thursday, August 29, David Hartley will go along with his animals. For further information, call Jannette on 07761 728664.
Tea dance: A tea dance will be held at the Linden Road Centre on Tuesday, August 20, at 2pm. Admission is £1.50, which includes refreshments and a free raffle. There will also be a professional ballroom dancing display and MC is Squire Firth. Dancers and spectators are welcome.
