Year 6 leavers at Beamsley’s Boyle and Petyt left the school an interesting farewell gift.
The youngsters presented the school with a stile over the wall of the school field and into the adjacent wood.
Made and fitted by Richard Price, the children said it symbolised their own move into new territory.
“The stile will be well used as the school planted jubilee trees in the woodland area,” said headteacher Imogen Addy. “Also, a lot of balls end up over the wall, so they’ll be much easier to retrieve.”
