Priory Church: The services on Sunday are: 8am, communion (said); 10.30am, sung eucharist; 6.30pm, evening prayer. On the first Sunday of the month the church holds a liquid family service at 9.15am. This service is aimed at youngsters and there are songs, activities and refreshments. Each Wednesday there is a communion service at 10am. The ashes of the Rev Canon Maurice Slaughter, who masterminded the restoration of the Priory, will be interred in the Tower of the Priory on Sunday after the 10.30am service.
Village fete: Everything is going ahead for the 11th Bolton Abbey Summer Fete on Monday, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. It will be held on the lawn in front of Bolton Hall. Parking is in Bolton Abbey car park and the usual charges apply. The organisers look forward to welcoming old and new friends for this fun-packed afternoon.
