Coffee morning: There will be a coffee morning at the village hall between 10am and noon this Saturday. As well as dropping in for homemade scones, cake or a toasted teacake, you can also bring any jumble you may have for the forthcoming jumble sale in the village hall on Saturday, September 21.

Flea markets: There will be a double helping of flea markets this weekend. Markets will be held on both Sunday and Monday at Gargrave Village Hall. Both events start at 10am and there will be the usual array of stalls selling antiques, bric-a-brac, collectibles, crafts and plants. Some stall holders are present on both days, but some are only there for one day, resulting in different stalls on both days. The plant stall will be there on the Sunday. Entrance is 50p and refreshments will be available until 4pm.

St Andrew’s Church: All the proceeds from the refreshments at the flea market on Bank Holiday Monday will be donated to church funds.

Bingo: The monthly bingo session will start at 7.30pm on Wednesday in the village hall annex.

Pilates: Weekly pilates classes will be available from Friday, September 6, between 9am and 9.45am in the village hall annex. Pilates is great for strengthening core muscles and helping your back, posture and balance. More information is available from Sandra on 07971 044567.
