Lothersdale is back on the map.
Resident Malcolm Willetts has just finished updating the village map to include name changes to properties, properties built since the original map was produced in 2007 and properties soon to be built in the village.
And, Liz Pierson, a textile artist and illustrator from Cowling, produced some line drawings of local wildlife and plants to add to the map.
“It looks beautiful and hopefully will encourage people to explore the village of Lothersdale further,” said parish council clerk Esther Barrows. “Lothersdale Parish Council would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved in putting the map together.”
Mr Willetts also produced the 2007 map, which has been used not only by utility companies but by walkers covering the Pennine Way and National Trail. But, after six years, it had become faded.
The new map has been printed by Cononley-based Briggs Printers and smaller copies (which can fit in an A2 frame) are available to purchase. For more information, contact Mrs Barrows on (01535) 636776.
