Children at Christ Church Primary School, Skipton, have been going skipping crazy following a whole school skipping day.
Fitness skills were woven into a fun session for every class, led by Sports Skipping for Schools.
“The children absolutely loved it and the impact has been massive, particularly a willingness to try more new things,” said headteacher Simone Bennett.
“It was great to see the growing confidence throughout the day and the celebrating with each other by the end.” The day was part of the school’s work to make lunchtimes more active and to extend the range of activities available for the pupils to try.
It ended with children demonstrating their skills to parents.
