Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood, Angela Beaumont, store manager, and Peter with the cheque
Instead of birthday presents to celebrate his 70th, Peter Bishop of Bennet Street, Skipton, appealed to family and friends to donate to Manorlands, the Sue Ryder home at Oxenhope.
They dug into their pockets and handed over £300.
Peter thanked everyone and said: “I’ve had friends looked after at Manorlands and because it is not state-funded it needs every penny.”
