Skipton Library will hold its fourth heritage fair on Tuesday.
Running from 10am to 3pm, it will offer the opportunity for people to explore their family history and the history of the local area. Previous fairs have attracted visitors from all over Lancashire and Yorkshire.
There will be displays from family and local history societies, including the Craven and the First World War project, and information about the resources available at Skipton Library and North Yorkshire County Record Office.
During the fair, library staff will run two two-hour family history internet taster sessions, starting at 10am and 1pm. These will demonstrate Ancestry.com, and FindMyPast, the premier genealogy resources on the web, which can be accessed free in all libraries in North Yorkshire.
Booking is essential and tickets are £10 per session, including a three-month library computer subscription. For more information, contact 0845 034 9538.
