The organiser of Settle Artisan Fairs is hoping the local people will take advantage of the quiet winter months and get to know the stallholders.

“We see January, February and March as Settle Down Time, a time for you to get to know your local artisans, ask them questions and find out what makes them tick,” said fair organiser Julie Orsborn.

And for the next fair, on Saturday, she has arranged for local music shop owner, Allan Evans, to come along and help out with any music or instrument questions.

There will also be a cross-stitich workshop.

“Settle Artisans Fair is well on its way to becoming the best and only true artisans fair in the area. We have so much, all designed to help put Settle on the map as being one of the quality craft destinations in the Yorkshire Dales,” said Julie.

Further fairs have been organised on February 15, March 15, April 12, May 10, June 21, July 12, August 16, September 20 and November 15.
