Glusburn Primary School could soon have a new classroom.
North Yorkshire County Council is seeking permission to replace a double prefabricated classroom at the Colne Road school and change the parking boundary. A design statement says the classrooms have reached the end of their useful life and would be replaced with a single-storey structure with a low pitched roof.
The statement adds: “The site will require minor landscaping due to some of the demolition work necessary. This includes modifications to the car park to suit new access arrangements.
“The unit will provide new and much-needed space.”
