Rumours of a pop festival at Bolton Abbey over the busy Tour de France weekend have been scotched.
A public meeting in Addingham heard that a 60,000-capacity music festival had been planned for early July, raising fears about massive road congestion.
But the idea has been dismissed by the Bolton Abbey Estate, which said no music festival would take place.
The Addingham meeting also heard of concerns about road closures and other issues during the tour, which will visit the village on July 5 and 6.
