Theatre events: The next Gigg Lecture will take place at the Richard Whiteley Theatre tonight at 7pm. The speaker is Stephen Whitehead and his talk is entitled A Strange Uncivilised Little Place: Haworth and the Making of the Bronte Genius. On Sunday, Community Cinemas will show Frozen at 3.30pm. Primary school: Key stage two pupils enjoyed a workshop on the science of sound, funded by the Friends of Giggleswick Primary School. Congratulations go to all the pupils who participated in the Catteral Shield cross country event organised by Giggleswick Junior School. They all ran well and completed the course. Two teams also entered the Soccer Festival. The teams played against Settle Primary School and Giggleswick Junior School and the year three and four team played particularly well, managing to win one of their matches. On Friday, pupils took part in activities relating to Chinese New Year.
