Ladies Circle: David Mason, a member of Silsden History Group, gave a talk to the Ladies Circle entitled What Makes The Silsden of Today. He travelled back to 1837 when the first mill was built in Silsden. The next meeting is at Silsden Methodist Church on Tuesday at 7.30pm when the speaker will be David Alred with Travels in India and Thailand.

Amnesty group: Paul Fairweather, from Amnesty, will speak at the meeting of Silsden Amnesty group on Monday at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church. He is responsible for campaigning in Indonesia and will advise on ways to support the group’s adopted prisoner of conscience. New members are welcome.

Civic Society: The next meeting of the Civic Society will take place in the Methodist Church tonight when David Pratt will give an illustrated talk entitled The Christopher Pratt Story. Doors open at 7pm and the talk starts at 7.30pm, followed by refreshments.

Disco Zumba: Disco Zumba has proved so popular that two extra classes have been added. The group now runs on Mondays at 8.30pm and Thursdays at 6.15pm and 7.15pm in the town hall.
