Cononley shop: The parish council is actively exploring the idea of turning Cononley Post Office into a community shop. A questionnaire has gone to all households to find out how much the shop is used and to identify anyone who can help in any way. Please be sure to complete the questionnaire – you can do it online if you prefer – and return it by next Friday, March 7, to any of the collection points named. Also, please put the date of March 20 in your diary to attend the public meeting in the village institute about the issue. There have already been a number of positive replies. Losing the shop would be a serious blow for the village, while retaining it will be a great boon.
St John’s Church: On Sunday, a service of Holy Communion will be held at St John’s Church at 11am.
