Bridge club: The next meeting of Kettlewell Bridge Club will take place in the social room of Kettlewell Village Hall on Tuesday from 7pm.

Organ recital: There will be an organ recital by Ian Thompson at St Mary’s Church, Conistone, next Saturday, March 8, at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £7.50 (£1 for children), which includes a glass of wine and nibbles, and are available from 760887, 752975 or at the door.

Safari search: The committee of St Mary’s Churches in Kettlewell and Conistone are looking for venues for the safari supper later this year. Anyone would like to host one of the courses should ring 760887.

Spring buffet: Cracoe Village Hall will host a spring buffet tomorrow from 7.30pm. There will be a bar and light entertainment with Bill Murfit. Tickets cost £13.50 and are available from 730188.

Ash Wednesday: The Upper Wharfedale cluster of churches will hold their Ash Wednesday service in the Fountaine Chapel, Linton, on Wednesday at 7pm.

Toddler group: The Hetton and Rylstone Babes and Toddler Group has resumed on Tuesdays during term time from 10am to noon in the schoolroom at Hetton Methodist Church. The cost is £1 per family. There will be activities with crafts, toys and a storytime.

Coffee morning: The Cracoe Cricket coffee morning was a great success, raising nearly £600. Thanks go to all those who helped.

Women’s Institute: Joyce Miler and three former members – Jill Holden, Rita Turner and Trish Stewart – were welcomed to Rylstone WI. Speaker was dog behaviourist George Barrett, from Sutton-in-Craven, who brought his Rottweiller, Ruby. The competition for a photo of a dog was won by Moyra Livesey.
