Hundreds of people gave a rousing welcome to two BBC Look North presenters as they passed through the area on a gruelling Sport Relief challenge.

Harry Gration and Amy Garcia are riding a tandem along the 241-mile Tour de France route through Yorkshire to raise money for the charity.

They arrived in Skipton late afternoon on Friday and as they passed by Kingsway Vets on Otley Road, the presenters were presented with a £100 cheque.

“We wished them good luck,” said small animal partner Bob Pettit.

In the town centre, the two Look North presenters broadcast from the top of the High Street.

And, Harry and Amy were back in Craven on Tuesday when their stop offs included Silsden.

“I’m overwhelmed by the welcome, I’m just blown over by people’s kindness,” said Harry.
