A 54-YEAR-OLD woman has been convicted by a jury at Bradford Crown Court of causing the death of a motorcyclist by careless driving.
Michelle Marshall will be sentenced on July 1 after the case was adjourned yesterday (Wednesday) for the preparation of a probation service report.
Her bail was enlarged by Judge David Hatton QC until the next hearing.
During the two-day trial, the jury was told that Marshall pulled out on to the A65 at Skipton in front of bike rider Dominic Lee at about 9.15pm on May 1 last year.
Mr Lee, 49, of Trawden, Lancashire, was thrown from his machine and died later that night.
Marshall, of Springfield Court, Grassington, was accused by prosecution barrister, Stephen Wood, of not looking properly before she turned right on to the Skipton northern bypass from Knaresborough Road.
She maintained that her driving was not at fault.
