PARENTS and staff of The Boyle and Petyt School, Beamsley, spent a wet weekend improving the school garden.
The Friends of the school have had an excellent fund-raising year after being nominated the Devonshire Arms chosen charity for the year.
Funds have been used to improve a number of facilities at the school, but most important for the children is the school grounds.
Parents have installed new seating areas, paths, dens and raised beds, and one creative parent even made an adjustable bar which has been used imaginatively as a horse jump, a high jump and for limbo dancing.
