Alex Blake, Matthew Bleakley, Santosh Guru and Samuel Owens travelled to London to take part in the national final of the UK Maths Challenge.
And although first place went to the independent fee paying City of London School, the Ermysted's team came an impressive 14th out of 80 schools - making it one of the top state schools in the country.
Andrew Hopkins, the school's head of maths, said it was the best ever achievement in maths for the school.
"We have some exceptionally talented boys in Craven and it is a privilege to work with them," he said.
Xiangjia will spend a week with his fellow talented mathematicians being trained by Dr Peter Neumann, Emeritus Fellow of Maths at Queen''s.
The purpose of the camp will be to train a squad to represent the UK in future international mathematical olympiads. It will be an opportunity for them to meet and work with others will similar interests and exceptional abilities.
