LABOUR Party member Peter Madeley has been elected onto Craven District Council.
Mr Madeley, who lives in Skipton, will be the only Labour councillor on the Conservative controlled council.
He won the Skipton West seat vacated following the death earlier this year of long standing councillor Polly English.
Cllr Andy Solloway, already an Independent councillor on Craven District Council, was elected onto North Yorkshire County Council, and Laura Broadbent (Ind) was elected onto Skipton Town Council.
