Glusburn School Summer Fair was held last weekend and was hailed a great success.
The weather was kind and so most stalls could be held outside. The face painting stall was run by volunteer students from South Craven School, the dads provided bacon butties and hot dogs (which all sold out) and the school's Race for Life Pretty Muddy team attended and helped on the ice cream stall.
The local Citroen garage provided a car which was filled with balloons for people to "guess how many" with a fantastic £50 cash prize.
A highlight was Mr Hunt, the head teacher, having his face covered in squirty cream and students paying to throw cheesy puffs to see if they could get them to stick! The teachers ran various stalls and fun games and the school choir entertained. In total, the school fair raised just over £1300, which is a tremendous amount. Thank you to all who helped, attended and donated!
