CARLETON’S Monday Club Ladies Choir will hold its summer concert next Saturday, July 19.

The choir, formed in 2012, competed in Skipton Music Festival earlier this year in memory of villager Ann Ware and received a commendation after coming second in their class.

The concert will be staged in Carleton Village Hall and will include a variety of songs including chart hits, show songs, hymns, and songs from the First World War.

The programme will also include singing by children from the village pantomime and an acoustic set by the village's rock band.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £4 (£2 for children) are available from choir members, Poppy Cottage Guest House or by emailing carletoncommunity@gmail.com.

Refreshments will be available.

Any ladies interested in joined the choir should contact choirmaster Damian Oxborough at damian@finishmysong.com, on 07504 294859 or via Carleton Ladies Choir on Facebook.
